Installing Bufonidae
Bufonidae is a VST3 plugin for Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit). Run the installer from your purchase download — it places the plugin in the standard VST3 location (C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3). Then rescan your plugins in your DAW (most DAWs do this automatically on restart).
Which DAWs are supported?
Any DAW that loads VST3 plugins on Windows — Ableton Live, FL Studio, REAPER, Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig, and more.
Is there a macOS version?
Not yet — Bufonidae is currently Windows-only. Join the mailing list to hear about platform updates first.
Where is my license key?
Your license key is delivered by email right after purchase. Keep that email — the key is your proof of ownership. If it hasn't arrived within a few minutes, check your spam folder, then contact us with your order details and we'll sort it out.
Can I use it on more than one computer?
Yes — your license covers your own machines (e.g. studio desktop and laptop). It's a personal license, not for sharing.
What audio formats can I drop in?
WAV, AIFF / AIFC (including unusual compressed variants), FLAC, Ogg Vorbis, MP3, and M4A. Drag files straight from your file browser — multi-file drops spread across the ten slots.
Are updates free?
Yes. Updates to Bufonidae are free for license holders, and a factory preset bank is planned as a free content update. See the changelog for what's shipped.
Is there a demo or trial?
Not yet. In the meantime, the audio demos show what it sounds like, and the datasheet covers every parameter.
Refunds
See the refund policy for the full terms. If something's genuinely broken for you, contact us first — most problems are quick fixes.
Can I use sounds I make in commercial music?
Yes — everything you create with audiotoad plugins is royalty-free for commercial use.
